Hand Painted Bowl Makeover

Hand Painted Bowl Makeover

Another Bowl and Another Makeover. I have so many of these bowls in the house even when I’m writing this post I’m actually working on another bowl which I’ll post next week.

So when I say I have like a ton of them I literally mean I have TONS of them.

So starting of I painted the entire bowl in an orange pastel color. Just like every project that I do I had a different design initially but I ended up with something completely different. I had an Ikat Design  which I’m thinking I’ll probably end up doing on the one that I am working on right now. So I freehand drew like a rough design of what I wanted and painted it with two shades of blue one light and the other dark both in Acrylic.

It was supposed to look blended which it did but it just wasn’t the “blend” I was going for. It just didn’t look Right.

So I did what anyone would do I used Masking Tape to cover it up, not all of it but some of it. I mean I liked the blue but I can’t take that much blue.

I taped the Bowl in a random design, ended up with a Geometric Pattern of course one of my favorite route to take. When in doubt go Geometric I say.

When that was done I painted over it with the same Pastel Orange and let it dry.

I don’t think I even need to say this but I will anyways,I went over the entire design with my trusty ol’ Gold Sharpie.
