Moroccan And Maroon Table Makeover

Moroccan And Maroon Table Makeover - Delicious And DIYThis table had me so confused to begin with, I fell in love with the design in the front and I knew I had to get this table. So in that excitement I painted it completely Coral and Gold but just after a few months I changed it again and this time I think I will stick with how it is. Hopefully !

This table came with its whole family, you guys can see how its brother which also got a makeover here.

Unlike the Hexagon Shaped brother this table was square and since I had stenciled that table aswell for some reason this also got the same treatment as well. I’ve been on the ” Stencil Everything That Comes My Way” train lately for some reason 😉

It was in a pretty decent condition, no damages just some stains and some scratches here and there.  Nothing that couldn’t be fixed. And clearly I was in such a hurry to start painting that I didn’t even pause to take a proper before shot. Oh well this would do!

Moroccan And Maroon Table Makeover - Delicious And DIYSo Initially as I mentioned I had painted it Coral and Gold so most of my work was already done and the only thing which was bothering me was the color. So I chose these two shades of Behr one was Beet Root and the other was Racy Red in Matte. I mixed both of these together and then used my Homeright Finish Max Sprayer and I sprayed the entire table.

paintsThe plan was to completely paint the whole table in these colors but then again I had put in so much effort with the stenciling that I felt like I should at least keep some of it.

Hence before spraying the entire table I taped off a diamond pattern on top of the table as well as  taped the front handles of the table which I had already painted Gold and I didn’t want to go back again and paint it Gold again 😉

I gave the table two coats of the paint and within five minutes I had a flawless finish.

HomeRightThose little corners and curves in the design would have taken me forever with a paintbursh but with the sprayer I was done within minutes.

Love, love, love your coffee table. I am beginning to paint my 2 bedside stands with 3 drawers each ivory and gold. They are walnut stained right now and I can hardly wait to see them get an uplift.
