So I had been on a mission for quite some time now to find a storage cabinet that had plain front doors, no design or carvings or anything of that sort since I had this gorgeous stencil which I wanted to use on it.
Luck was on my side because I ended up getting my hands on this fella.
It was in a pretty decent condition but had few scratches at the bottom and some on top. But everything was going to be fixed
Materials Needed for This Project
HomeRight Spray Shelter (very handy, if you don’t want paint flying around)
Here is the before shot.
I wanted a really bright and bold Pattern on the front of the cabinet and when I received my Cutting Edge Stencil it was like a match made in heaven. The Ikat pattern is really forgiving even if you mess up, it ends up making it even more prettier, in my opinion.
The color I chose to paint the entire storage cabinet was with Velvet Finishes Exotic. It is this beautiful Coral color and since I wanted this cabinet to be really bright, Exotic was the way to go.
So as usual to save up on time I loaded up my HomeRight Finish Max Sprayer and started spraying away.
The sprayer was amazing for this cabinet because I was done within minutes. The cabinet needed two coats too fully cover the brown.
Next came the fun part 🙂
For that I used Velvet Finishes Exotic which is this delicious blue and looks perfect in contrast with the coral.
When the stenciling was complete I updated the existing knobs by spray painting it Metallic Gold.
Look how shiny and pretty they look now.
After that it was just a matter of attaching the knobs back on the cabinet and I was Done!
What do you guys think?
The blue and the coral and the stencil Ahh I think my job here is Done!
