So our apartment is slowly coming along and we finally bought a coffee table and end tables to go on either side of our sofa
We ended up buying these end tables which also came with a rectangular shaped coffee table The coffee table I will show you guys in my next post ( the coffee table has been transformed. You can check it out here) but today we shall focus on how these end tables turned out.
All three of these tables we got for a pretty good deal plus I really loved how they had these stone slabs in the middle.
Here is how it looked before
The tables were in really good condition but they were completely boring and I honestly only was interested in them because of the stone slab detail.
This table also gave me quiet a headache since I just could not decide what color I wanted to paint them in. I painted it initially peach then a dark purple color and then I finally ended up with DecoArt Maxx Gloss finish in the color Orange. Phew!
I decided on this color because to think of it I never have painted a table orange so I said why not just go for it and to be real I did not want to paint it the fourth time around so Orange it was.
Obviously I just couldn’t paint it all in one color and call it a day. It had to have something interesting going on so I gave the legs a dipped in Gold look using the Metallic Gold Paint from DecoArt.
For the top part where it had the four individual stone pieces I decided to stencil it using this flower stencil from DecoArt.
I really wanted an ombre effect so I ended up with the color pink and for the ombre I just kept on adding white a little by little giving it a lighter effect.
And this is how it was coming along.
I love how it turned out.
So after that it was just a matter of placing the slabs back in their place and covering it with the glass top.
And that was it.
Plus don’t forget to check out the transformed Refinished Coffee Table.
What do you guys think?
