I always wanted to create an Abstract Art piece which was heavily focused on a few simple colors and Gold.
And this is what I created and turns out it was way easier than I expected.
Side note: The Bar Stools pictured above you, can see the full makeover post over here.
So starting with this Wall Art which is super easy to make.
Materials Needed for this Project
DecoArt Chalky Finish in Coral
DecoArt Chalky Finish Light Blue
I used three main colors for this Wall Art.
A beautiful peach and pink color from DecoArt.
I also used a light Sky Blue color.
I split the painting into 3/4 sky blue and the other 1/4 I split almost equally between peach and the pink color.
You don’t have to be perfect at all because its almost all of it is going to be covered in Gold.
When my painting was fully dry I went in with Gold Metallic paint and started painting over the borders of all the colors with Gold.
And here is how it turned out.
You just need to go in an up and down motion with the Gold to achieve a brush stroke type effect.
The point is it is an abstract art piece, there is no right or wrong way.
Play around with it and have some fun.
Super simple but adds such a pop of color.
You can also use different shades of paint if you like but I wanted to stick with only three since my living room almost has every single color one could imagine.
