A stunning way to transform any room by painting beautiful Painted Arch Accent Walls with this simple mess-free DIY Idea.
I think it is safe to say this has to be my favorite Makeovers that I have done so far and yes I know I always say that about every single one but I think this might be the one.
I have been seeing Painted Arch Accent Walls everywhere and honestly, they look beautiful and I knew I had to do it.
Not only is this design really easy to make but you can customize it as much as you want by adding more designs onto the Arch, or keeping it plain.
To give you an idea of how others are customizing their Walls s here is one gorgeous Painted Arch by Place of My Taste
So you see so many ways to make this design and make it your own.
Material List for Boho Painted Arch Wall Bedroom
Ramboard (to make the Arch Wall)
Before I jump into it I do have to share how the bedroom looked before.
You know just so we all know where it all started.
This was the situation as soon as we moved in. No matching bed sets, still unpacking, messy, boxes everywhere and just a basic plain cookie-cutter beige and brown room.
So my Idea or mood board was to make a custom headboard, make some Arch walls ofcourse, and create more so of a boho-chic look for the bedroom.
The headboard that I made for this bedroom was about $12 as it was an Ikea Ivar Shelf.
And here is what I turned it into.
This has to be the easiest headboard I have made and complimented the Arch Wall perfectly.
Speaking of the Arch Wall the best part about is that it is super Rental Friendly and if you are like me and like to switch things up often this is the way to go because I did not directly paint onto the Wall.
I essentially used cardboard material, cut it out into an arch, paint it, and attach it onto the Wall using double-sided table.
This means no mess, first of all, no damage to the wall and you can reuse the cardboard for different projects down the line.
Win Win!
Since I knew I would be adding so much color and pattern via the Rug, the boho baskets on the Wall, and other home decor wall art pieces, the bedding had to be completely neutral or white in my case.
The best part is you can always add in color via throw blankets or throw pillows.
Moving onto the nightstands. I am a big fan of flipping furniture as those thrifted pieces have the most character in my opinion plus you can’t beat the price.
This is how the nightstands I used for this bedroom looked initially.
I got both for about $40 and they were in mint condition. I went with a coral paint color as it would compliment the teal green of the Arch Wall.
The Rug I chose for this Room was a 9 by 12ft and made all the difference as it not only made the room look bigger but the subtle design didn’t over power the room.
I also placed a bench in front of the bed and this bench has gone through a lot of makeovers and this will be the third time.
You can see all the other transformations as well which is the Painted Kilim Bench I made and then I transformed it again using a Throw Blanket.
I opted for these gorgeous Ombre Curtains with colors from White to Blue.
The curtain rod was a DIY as I used a conduit pipe which was about $3 and glued tennis balls at the ends.
Painted it all in one color and no one can tell the difference.
If you look at the opposite side of the room this is the view you will see.
Since already there were almost three painted Arch Walls happening on one wall, I decided to go completely straight lines on the opposite end but add shapes via an Oval Mirror etc.
I think the most fun I had was to make this Console Table which I made by repurposing Candlestick Stands.
I kid you, not these are actually Candle Stick Stands, and this is how it looked before.
This is such a simple and easy DIY which of course I will share the full details in a post coming soon.
But essentially in a nutshell I attached a wood piece which I covered in tiles onto the tops of the painted candlestick stands.
And this was the result.
I honestly love the Idea.
And it is personally so unique that I have never seen anything like this before.
Have you?
But all in all this was such a fun and rewarding bedroom makeover.
