This Week for my One Room Challenge I did a couple of things in my Dining Room. First I was able to install the Wallpaper and Secondly I constructed the Ikea Ivar Cabinets which will be my Credenza/Buffet Table for the space.
If you are new here you should check out my Week 1 update to get a feel for the design and my Mood Board for the room.
But let’s get into the progress of the I made this Week. I received these gorgeous Watercolor Leaves- Jade print from Repeel Wallpaper.
I have used these wallpaper before in my previous Dining Room and not only is it easy to install but very rental friendly as well since you can peel it off the easily without damaging the walls.
I covered an entire wall and the half wall on the side which you can see in the above picture.
In total I used about 4 Rolls.
If you haven’t used Removable Wallpaper before it is quite easy to install.
First measure out how length of the panel you want on the wall and then starting from the top slowly peel off the backside of the Wallpaper while pressing it down onto the Wall.
I like to press out from the middle and then go out to the sides so to get rid of any bubbles or air pockets.
Repeat these steps until the Wall is fully covered.
Along the way you do need to cut out pieces of the Wallpaper to make way for Wall Sockets/ Outlets.
The best way is to use a sharp X-Acto Knife so it gives it a very clean cut.
Lastly I ordered the Ikea Ivar cabinets online which got delivered as well and then it was time to assemble both of them.
I took my time on constructing these cabinets, about two full days.
But I am really happy that it is done as next week I can move onto the fun part which is painting and designing.
And that is all for my Week 2!
