I have been loving the new Galaxy Glitter Paint from DecoArt I mean who doesn’t love Glitter!
I have used these paints on my Valentine Day Inspired Mason Jar and today I decided I wanted to use it on a Faux Plant I had bought from the 99 cent store.
The design I used on this Faux Plant is almost the exact same I used on my DIY Handbag and I loved it so much that I recreated it today.
So let’s jump right into it.
Materials Needed for this Project
Galaxy Glitter Paint by DecoArt
Multiple Paintbrushes (Thin and Wide Tip)
When I bought this faux plant it was all gray as it was made with cement. As soon as I came home I had painted it Gold which improved its look instantly.
First I split the pot in multiple Triangle shapes which I was going to paint with Acrylic Paints.
These were the paints I used and served as the base color for my Glitter paints.
This was the first step completed.
Let it dry and then paint over the area with the Galaxy Glitter Paint.
Playing around with the glitter is always my favorite part.
When it is dry go ahead and fill in the areas where you think the glitter did not completely cover.
The last step is to create the 80s Inspired Pattern.
There is no rule or rhythm to this part other then creating varying sized triangles and squares. Fill the areas with mini circles.
I used the same Acrylic Paints that I used as the base color on top of the Glitter for the 80s pattern.
And there you have it.
A cent store Faux Plant got a fun little upgrade.
