Transform a pair of Candle Stands into a beautiful Console Table just by using a few materials that you most likely have around the house. This is such a unique of using Candle Stands for something it was not intended to be used for but will look absolutely stunning.
So when we moved to our new home and we were finally getting settled in slowly but surely. I did like a round of the house just to see everything looks fine and in order and found two Metal Candle Stands just on the side of the house.
They were just there and the previous homeowner had not disposed off. I decided to keep the Candle Stands knowing me I knew these would come in handy.
When I was transforming the Main Bedroom that is where these Candle Stands came in real handy as I made it into this beautiful Console Table.

Tutorial for DIY Console Table Using Candle Stands
So these were the Candle Stands in their almost original form as I had decided to paint them a little bit before even taking a Before picture as you can see but they were just completely black wrought iron candle stands.
They were in great condition and just one of the top parts of the Candle Stands was a little uneven but other than the rest looked great.
Keeping in mind the theme of my Room Makeover I decided to paint these in a light green paint color.
I used this Texture paint as it gives a really great coverage plus this was the closest color to what I had in mind hence why I used the Texture Paint.
Using a fluffy paintbrush I painted both the Candle Stands in the same color and let them dry while I got started on creating the Table Top part of the makeover.
I found a wooden plan also just left in the garage by the previous homeowner which was going to be the Top part of my Console Table.
First I stained the whole wooden plank with a dark shade of Wood Stain and let it completely dry.
You need a sponge brush to apply the Wood Stain and then using a Rag cloth or Paper Towel wipe off the excess wooden stain.
The initial plan was that I was just going to keep the wooden plan as is with this dark wood stain color but then later on I switched it up.
I decided to Tile the top part of the wooden plank. I had leftover Tiles from the Dining Table Makeover which you will see really soon and decided to incorporate those leftover tiles into this project.
To attach the tiles onto the wooden plan you need a strong adhesive and I used a General Adhesive Glue which is used to attach carpets onto floors so it worked out well.
I placed the tiles one by one and when it was fully covered I put heavy objects on top so they would solidify and dry in place.
I also decided to create an edge around the tiles by using some Yarn.
The whole rectangle piece of wood was covered with the Yarn which gave it a very clean look.
After that, it was just a matter of placing this Tiled wood plan onto the painted Candle Stands.
Keep in mind I did not attach it onto the Candle Stands as the wooden plan was really heavy with the weight of the tiles and kept it in place but if you want this to be used in a high traffic place or have kids in the house please do anchor the plank onto the wall.
And there you have it.
Who would have thought of making a Console Table just by using a pair of Candle Stands?
I love the way it turned out and it goes perfectly with my bedroom decor as well.
