I decided to go the Fall Decor route as it is already that time of year.
What I really loved about this DIY is that not only will it function as a great fall decoration piece but you can even use it later on during Thanksgiving and Christmas as it incorporates all the colors of the holiday season in my opinion.
So let’s not waste anymore time and jump into the project.

Tutorial for DIY Dollar Store Fall Decoration
STEP 1
For this DIY you could obviously use a vase from the dollar store they have so many options available in different shapes and sizes.
I personally chose to recycle an empty glass bottle that I had leftover from a lemonade drink.
And it had the perfect shape and height for what I had in mind. If you have empty bottles at home why not use them this holiday season.
I have repainted quite a few including a Maple Syrup bottle that I turned into an Anthropologie Vase which looks stunning.
STEP 2
So the real star of this project is this placemat that I got from the Dollar/ Cent store.
They had all the Fall Decor stocked up and this felt fall decor mat caught my eye immediately.
I decided to cut the mat with scissors so I was I left with all the individual leaves.
I loved the different variety and shapes of leaves this mat had on it.
I didn’t use the whole entire mat as I needed it for only one bottle but you could easily use one mat for at least three vases, depending on the size of it as well.
STEP 3
I prefer to use a hot glue gun for these kind of crafts as it quickly glues anything onto a surface.
You could also use e6000 glue but you will have to hold the leaf in place for a minute or two which isn’t the case when you use a hot glue gun.
Just apply a layer of glue onto the leaf and place it around the bottle.
If I saw there were gaps or spaces between I just glued on smaller leaves so to fill the space.
Glue the leaves all around until you think it looks Right.
And there you have it.
What do you guys think?
