A stunning way to update a dollar store Wall Clock just by using some Texture Paints. This is such an easy makeover and takes only a few minutes.
Whenever I go to the Dollar Store I always pass by the Wall Clock section seeing so much potential on how I can transform it and today I decided let’s just do it after all.
The clock that I purchased was a pretty basic standard clock but I decided to give a very unique design. I decided to use some Texture Paints to create a beautiful flower texture.
I love the way it turned out. If you want to see more of my Dollar Store project hacks then be sure to check out my Anthropologie Inspired Vase Makeover using a Dollar Store Vase. Trust me, it looks way better than the original.
But not back to todays Dollar Store Wall Clock Makeover.
I have updated quite a few clocks in the previous post and you can check out some of them here, here, and here.
As you can see the clock was pretty plain and basic and I wanted to add bright pops of color to it.
Materials Needed for Dollar Store Wall Clock
DecoArt Texture Paint (Green, Yellow, Orange and Red)
DecoArt Outdoor Living in White
Wall Clock
These were the colors I decided to use on the clock.
Texture paints are so much fun to use and I have used these on Outdoor Pots and in my Dining Room to transform a Buffet Table.
But to get that amazing textured finish you need to use Palette Knives.
The clock that I chose had a glass on top which needed to be removed in order for me to paint it.
When that was removed I first used the Green Texture Paint and went around the entire clock lifting the palette knife as I painted so to create the texture.
Then I added on the Yellow Texture Paint.
When the final two colors of the Texture Paint were also on the clock I then proceeded to paint the Rim of the clock all white.
I also painted the Inner rim of the clock in Gold.
And there you have it.
All Done.
