I’ve had these pair of tables for as far as I can remember basically even before I was born we’ve had these table in our house.
So you can imagine how dated they look now, which is why one was covered with a tablecloth and another had the printer placed on top of it.
Here’s the actual Before picture of the tables.

And that is what I set out to do.
Material Needed for This Project
First I completely painted the table with the Light Pink chalk paint.
I did give it about two coats of the paint but didn’t fully cover it since I was going for a Rustic Finish.
After that, with Masking Tape I taped off the top diagonally and painted half of the side with Gold.
When the table was completely dry I went in with this Geometric pattern which I have also used on my Etched Table Top.
When the masking tape was in place, the last step was to go over the entire table with the Lavender Chalk Paint.
The pictures don’t really do it justice since the Light Pink looks more like a white color but this is how the tables turned out.
I think they look really interesting and I personally haven’t seen such a combination of pattern and color Before.
And the perfect amount of Gold pops up.
If you guys like this project be sure to Pin it for Later.

That looks great! With the first makeover, did you sand them and stuff, or did you just paint right over?
Anam Salimi says
Thankyou Sarka. These tables were actually the first few things that I started my DIY projects with so at that time I didn’t really bother with sanding or priming etc I just went over directly with the paint.

Mehreen says
Hello anum,
Where can I get chalk paint in Islamabad?
Anam says
Hi Mehreen, last I remember you couldn’t really find chalk paint specifically but if you go to a Paint store and buy Matte finish paint you can almost achieve the Chalky Paint finish. Hope that helps!
