Tutorial for DIY Peel and Stick Tiles Table Makeover
STEP 1
Before we jump into the actual makeover I have to share the Before.
So the thing is that it is the second time this table is getting a makeover. The first makeover you can see in my Bright and Bold Side Table post.
These were two side tables and one coffee table which I also transformed and you can see that coffee table transformation here as well.
I think this set was more so to be used for the outdoors but oh well I am just a rebel and use these in my living room space.
So now this is how the table looked removing the glass top and everything with its barebone structure.
Not too shabby but I wanted to tone down the bright orange color as I am in the middle of giving my Living Room a little refresh.
So I loved the half gold dipped legs which I was going to keep and pain the top half.
I used a mix of these beautiful texture paints as this was the only metallic finish paint I had on hand.
Since the orange color was so Loud the table needed two coats to fully cover it.
STEP 2
So the design of the table was such that it had these four squares that originally had four cement slabs placed inside of it. I wanted to switch it up and decided to place my own Tiles in its place.
I went with these beautiful Flower Marble Tiles.
Using an X-Acto Knife I cut out roughly four square pieces so it would fit snugly inside of the squares. Since I wasn’t going to move this table around I did not glue down the tiles.
But if you want you can use E6000 glue and grout to finish it off.
STEP 3
When the center portion of the table was complete it was time to finish off the corners.
I went with these Floor Peel and Stick Tiles for this table and yes you heard it right these are meant for your floors but I like to do things a little different here.
The best part about Removable Tiles is that it already comes with an adhesive backing all you have to do is just attach it where you would like.
I had to measure out the table so I could cut out the exact size from the Tiles.
After that, it was just a matter of peeling off the backing and gluing it onto the table.
STEP 4
I also attached a full complete tile onto the base of the table.
One Peel and Stick Tile measure 12 by 12 inches so it fit perfectly.
The last step was to place the Glass top back onto the table so everything was perfectly protected.
And there you have it guys!
A fun little thrifted table makeover using Peel and Stick Tiles.
