And without further Ado lets get started with my 5 Budget Friendly DIY Craft Projects
Marbled Desk Clock
Okay so if you are a long time reader you already know my obsession with marbling and of course I could not go about creating budget friendly craft projects without having anything marbled in the mix.
This Marbled Desk Clock literally took me less than five minutes.
The 99 has so many varieties of clock, some with frames, some were desk clocks but all of them had one thing in common that they were super affordable.
For this project I went with this Glass Desk Clock which was for $1.99.
I chose Gold, Blue, Green and Purple paint for the marbling.
First I thinned out the paints with some water so they all had even consistency. I poured the paint directly onto the Glass Clock.
The 99 has a lot Acrylic paint colors varieties so you can create whatever color combination you like, I went with this particular one.
After pouring the paint, tilt the clock in all directions so that the marbling effect can take place.
Let it completely dry before you use it.
And there you have it.
I added some colored stones on top of my clock but it looks great even without it.
If you liked this clock be sure to check out my Resin Marbled Clock, DIY Clock and DIY Bar Cart Makeover. I am telling you, I have a serious obsession with marbling.
DIY Vase Makeover
The selection of vases at the 99 Cents Only Stores is HUGE!
Out of all of those I chose this plain white vase because I had a really fun idea for it.
The Idea I had for it was really simple but I knew would look gorgeous.
I also bought colored ribbon for this project.
These are the complete items you would need to make this DIY Vase.
Apply a thin layer of the glue and using whatever color ribbon you like, I went with Hot Pink, place it diagonally on top of the vase where you applied the glue.
I added three Hot Pink Ribbons.
And on the other side I used Four Gold Ribbons which I also placed straight.
Let the vase completely dry before you use it.
How stunning does it look, such a simple craft but the vase has completely transformed.
Ombre Flower Wall Art
The 99 stores have tons of canvasses in multiple sizes and with different prints on top. For this particular project I chose these two Cat Canvas not only because I LOVE Cats but also because the colors were perfect for what I was about to create.
I selected a bunch of artificial flowers from the enormous selection that the 99 has and with some craft glue I got started.
The idea was to create a beautiful flower wall art but with an Ombre Effect.
I snipped off the flowers and starting with the lavender/blue flower combination.
I placed them one by one onto the layer of glue I had applied on top of the canvas.
Then the second layer was the light purple flowers and lastly the pink flowers.
Basically you apply the glue and then just place the flowers on top.
Let it completely dry.
The canvas I had purchased already had the perfect string attached to it , so it was super easy to hang on the wall.
Now you can see why I chose this particular Cat Canvas as the sides had the perfect multicolored combination which complimented the flowers perfectly.
DIY Mud Cloth Sharpie Mug
You just cant go to the 99 store and not grab one, two or maybe all of the mugs they have on display.
I mean just check out all the variety.
For this particular DIY I went with a large Mug and three markers in the colors turquoise, purple and pink.
I was going to use this Mug to hold my stationary so it didn’t bother me what kind of Sharpie I used.
The idea was simple and that was too create a Mud Cloth pattern.
If you don’t know what that is, just google it and you will end up with a million designs for the Mudcloth pattern.
I went with this particular design and absolutely loved the way it turned out.
You can also check out my DIY Flower Mug and DIY Terrazzo Mug and DIY Sharpie Mug for more inspiration.
DIY Mudcloth Chalk Art
When I made the above Mud Cloth Sharpie Mug I just had to recreate that design onto by using Giant Crayon Chalk on White Chart Paper.
I cut one of the Chart Paper into four equal parts and created the design on top.
I intentionally wanted it to be not so perfect and make it a little messy.
But I love how fun and vibrant these turned out.
Playing around with these chalk crayons transported me back to my childhood.
And there you have it my 5 Budget Friendly DIY Crafts, all of which were made by using products from the 99.
Super easy, affordable and fun.
The 99 literally has everything, not only does it have all sorts of items for the DIY obsessed but they even have fresh and affordable produce.
How amazing is that!
And as always if you liked this project be sure to Pin it for later!
