This fun little makeover is a quick and easy way to spruce up those old and plain boring plates.
I finally came around using my DecoArt Glass Paint Markers and I am in LOVE with the results which are just like using real Glass paints.
If you guys want to see some more inspiration as to how I used these markers then be sure to check out my HandPainted Mug and Floral Mug.
The plate was a plain white Ikea plate and the pretty colors I used were violet, blue and turquoise.
Materials Needed for this Project
DecoArt Glass Paint Marker in Turquoise
DecoArt Glass Paint Marker in Blue
So without any plan I just started designing what came to my mind.
Since it’s in a marker form it is so easy to design as you please.
I chose a Geometric Pattern. The rim of the plate got a Triangle Pattern.
The inside of the plate I went with simple lines, alternating between the blue and violet color.
After that I gave it a full day to dry completely and then the next day I baked the plate to permanently seal in the colors.
All the directions of how long it should be baked is written on the marker packaging.
And that was it.
What do you guys think?
Super simple and easy.
I use this plate for placing all my rings and displaying on top of it.
