When I say How I Brighten Up Furniture I literally mean it, I just basically mean adding some color using a a variety of different colored paints.
When my family first got this swing we were in LOVE, the carvings, the designs basically literally everything about it.
But that love kinda mellowed down over the years change was needed.
Here are the before shots
Don’t get me wrong the workmanship on this swing was beautiful but it just needed a little enhancement since you couldn’t really see all of its beauty with it being all one color.
It needed a pop of color so that the woodwork could be seen properly.
Material Needed for this Project
All the paints I used on this project are by DecoArt
This is a collection of all sorts of the American DecoArt Paints I used from shades of pinks to blues.
With multiple thin brushes I just went over the existing pattern and design alternating between all the colors.
When I started painting the swing thats when it hit me that this is going to be a pretty long process.
The carvings were very very detailed more than I expected .
I never bothered to look or appreciate all the tiny little details before and with the paint the design popped even more and made it clearer.
It took me about two days to fully complete the project.
And that was it.
All Done.
The front of the swing is my favorite.
Even though the whole thing all together looks beautiful but the front is my absolute favorite.
What do you guys think ?
