Lemon and Organic Coconut Oil is definitely one of my most popular posts on my blog and I can see why since personally Coconut Oil and Lemon are two of my favourite things after Chocolate OF COURSE!
Ingredients
2 small lemons(as shown in the picture) or half a big lemon
Coconut Oil has a number of benefits from being a good source of fat to cook with to using it raw and its is absolutely amazing for your hair and skin. I personally also use it as an eye make up remover or making my home-made chocolate and baking goodies.
But today I will show you guys how I make my Lemon and Coconut Oil Moisturizer.
I chose lemons for this particular moisturizer since they are bursting with vitamin C which is an amazing way to brighten up your skin!
You could also add in Vitamin E Oil or you’re favorite essential oils.
The recipe literally calls for two ingredients!
How much more preservatives and chemical free can you get with this moisturizer
So starting off I basically poured in 4 tbsp of coconut oil in a medium size bowl. Depending on the temperature where you live if its a warmer climate then the coconut oil will already be liquid at room temperature and if thats the case, stick it in the freezer for half an hour until it is solid and then it can be used for the next step.
The coconut oil needs to be solid because with an electric hand mixer we will whip it up. Since it will be solid already it will be quicker to attain the creamy fluffy texture.
And it won’t be possible when it is all Liquid thats why it is so important for it to solidify first!
When the coconut oil has achieved the fluffy consistency, whisking it for almost 2-3 mins should do the trick.
Finally the last part is where you can get creative!
I squeezed in the lemon juice and folded it in the coconut cream mixture or you guys can add vitamin E oil, lavender oil, vanilla extract etc.
And that is basically it.
How easy was that!
To me this is the quickest and most easiest way to make an all natural home-made moisturiser . Better then the store bought ones which are loaded with unknown chemicals and preservatives.
Also how cute is my lemon shaped container which was perfect for my All Natural Mositurizer.
It can be stored it in the fridge if the weather is warmer to stop it from melting or if it is cooler it should be perfect outside.
Let me know how it turns out for you guys!
Also do Pin it for later and share it with your friends and family.
