Todays post is going to be short and sweet like these Mini Canvasses.
I made this gallery wall a few months back and just today got the time to blog about it.
The guest room I had in my mind for this gallery wall was pretty neutral and since I didn’t feel like going super colorful that day I just whipped up these mini canvasses to add just that perfect amount of color in the room.
I bought these canvasses from Michaels a while ago from there clearance section and it just cost me about $0.50/canvas.
And of course I picked all of the canvasses they had justifying with I would defineitly “need” it in the future somewhere, some place, on some wall!
Materials Needed for this Project
So anyways moving on to the colors I chose for this project, which were pretty much all the leftover paint I had from my various DIY creations.
From peach to purple to blue to pink to orange etc.
The idea was to have a different base color and then use those same colors as a contrast while stenciling.
I also used the Ikat Stencil from DecoArt which you can see I have used on many other projects here and here.
Stenciling is a lifesaver for days when you just want to get a project done quickly but still want it to look really good.
You can also see my favorite 10 stencil Furniture Makeovers here.
So for instance if the base color of the canvas was peach the contrasting color I used on top was blue.
The base color didn’t really need much time to dry.
The stencil even though it was a bit bigger then the canvas turned out to be even better since I wanted all focus on the middle design.
I kept on alternating with the colors and this is how it turned out.
This really was a super quick project and I was done in under 15mins.
And the guest room got the pop of color it desperately needed.
Quick, simple and Fun.
