So basically as you guys can see from the title my Master Bedroom is getting a complete makeover.
It was High Time!
And when you guys will see the Before pictures you will exactly know why it was needed but I can’t show you guys those embarrassing pictures just yet, let’s discuss my plan and ideas for the room first.
When we moved to our new place, I didn’t pay any attention to my main bedroom because I was focused on my Dining Room Makeover , lounge and a lot of other little projects/rooms that had to be taken care of first thing.
So now the last room that was left on the agenda was the Main Bedroom.
I had a color scheme in mind for my room and it was more of a Purple/Pink, Teal with a touch of Gold and Copper. Emphasis was going to be on a lot of Color. Of course!
The following items are the ones which I ended up narrowing down to for my Bedroom Decor. Almost all of the things I ordered online.

Now for the part that I am dreading showing you guys and that is how my Master Bedroom actually looks before it gets the complete makeover.

When you enter our room the first thing you see right now is my DIY Tree Painting Wall Art which I didn’t mind but I wanted something else in its place.
I do plan on having my Modern Bookshelf over there but that you guys will have to see next week as to what I actually end up doing.
So lets begin with this first “serious” shot of my room with my cat who makes the situation a little better (by the way she was acting really silly that day for the camera). Our bed is just a basic plain bed (no headboard) with severely mismatched bedding and pillow cases (which we will try to ignore)
I was bored with the lamps and they needed an upgrade but I didn’t mind the Nightstands since I just recently gave them a makeover in my Multicolored Ikat Nightstand Post. The only thing I wanted to change was to basically add some Silver Hairpin legs to it like I did with my Modern Bookshelf Makeover.
So as you can see my bedroom isn’t a regular square/rectangle shaped room it had this angle to it which created a perfect corner for me to have an Accent chair. Right now we had conveniently shoved our printer and these basic drawers in the corner which needed to be moved ASAP.
I liked the existing curtains that I had in the room and was going to keep it as is but the room desperately needed a Rug.
I also wanted to add some Art on either side of the windows but I still had to decide if I wanted to make my own Art or buy it.
The main focus I had for this room was to get a completely plain bedding since a lot a pattern was going to be added via different pieces from the rugs to the wall art and the current ones were just not going to CUT it when the bedroom was going to be fully done.
I also desperately needed a bedskirt because no one wants to see those awful metal legs and the random stuff we had stored underneath the bed.
Lastly I am just not a fan of huge Headboards and even though I tried searching for ones but I could not find any worth buying hence my Plan B was to buy three really large Canvasses which I would paint myself and use those to look like a “headboard”
And that is pretty much the plan for my Master Bedroom for now, things might change or I might add something different but stay tuned for next weeks post which will be the Final Reveal.
