This post has been long overdue because we moved to a new place and a new city and it has been CRAZY hence the delay. But we’ve we’ve been setting up our new place slowly and the first thing which I ended up buying were these two pairs of nightstands.
Be warned these were a complete snooze fest but they were in such amazing condition that I just couldn’t pass on these babies.
Obviously the plan was to go a complete opposite route from its current state which was just a plain boring nightstand.
In some ways this makeover also reminds me of my Southwestern Inspired Table Makeover.
What do you guys think? Maybe its just the colors that I used is giving me flashback vibes.
Supplies Needed for this Project
DecoArt Outdoor Living in Silver
DecoArt Outdoor Living in Purple
DecoArt Outdoor Living in Green
DecoArt Chalky Finish in Green
Never have I ever painted a piece completely Silver and when I received these paints from DecoArt it made me really just want to go for it!
I used two colors of there metallic paint the lighter shade was this pearl finish but I started off with the darker Silver and finished off the last layer with the lighter color.
The finish these paints give is also completely stunning, so smooth and silky.
For the front of the drawers I literally went wild with colors from there yellows to purples to pinks to peaches.
I used all sorts of finishes as well from DecoArts Maxx Gloss to Chalky Finish.
And I had the perfect stencil for the drawers which is also from DecoArt.
I only used half of the design and basically it was just me dabbing in whatever color in whatever combination I felt like. These sorts of projects are always the most fun where you have the freedom to paint however your heart wants 😉
I gave the table a complete 24 hours to fully dry but its safer to give it more time. But I clearly have no patience.
For the drawer pulls I kept the original ones since they matched perfectly.
And there yo have it.
All Done.
I still can’t stop staring at how it turned out.
What do you guys think?
