I had such a blast giving these basic Ikea lamps a complete makeover using Yarn.
I got these lamps a while ago and they had that rectangular shaped lampshades on top which I switched to round ones but I still did not quite like how they looked.
So you know I had to do something about!

Materials Needed for This Project
This is how the lamps actually looked Before.
I didn’t mind the base and kept the Silver but the lampshade needed a little upgrade.
These were the multiple colors of yarn I used on this project.
You could buy pre-made Pom Poms or could make them yourselves.
I made the Poms Poms by hand and it was actually alot of fun, just do a little search online and you will see a ton of Pom Pom tutorials or to make your life easier you could also buy a Pom Pom Maker.
I know they aren’t the perfect looking Pom Poms but I liked how they looked so I didn’t trim that as much.
For the placement, I decided to do a a complete border full of Pom Poms and just a few glued on the top part of the lampshade.
Using the E6000 glue I started gluing the Poms Poms all around.
When that was complete I added a few on top.
Give it a full day to dry before you fully start using the lamps.
And this is how they turned out.
Don’t these look like so much fun.
The Pom Poms really brightened these boring lamps.
