This wall art has been on my mind for quite some time now.
I just had this idea stuck in my head of a half Gold foil and half “Rose” painting.
So it just had to be done.
Not all my ideas when executed turn out good but this one I ended up loving even though its not to everyones taste.
Firstly I went in with the Gold Foil.
I applied a thin layer of modge podge on about one fourth of the canvas and gently placed the Gold Foil onto that Glue area.
It doesn’t have to be perfect at all.
You just slightly tap the Gold Foil into place and end up with this crinkly Foil look.
After that the rest of the area I painted with the Gold liquid Gilding.
It shouldn’t take too long to dry.
It had been a while since I used Gold on anything and on this one I went All Out.
After that I played around with these two shades of green
They look similar in the picture but trust me one is light and the other is a bit darker.
I’ve had these paint bottles for almost two years, sealed and packed and I just never got around to using it plus I didn’t want it to go to waste.
So they made there debut on this wall art!
Basically I started with small circular strokes from the middle and worked my way out alternating between the colors as I went along.
This is how it looked half way through the process and then I kept on layering the colors on top until I though it looked just right.
This is how it should look after adding thin circular layers one by one.
And that was it.
All Done!
What do you guys think?
