You know me and my love for some quick and easy DIY projects. These Stained Wood Coasters not only look beautiful but took me about 30 minutes to create from start to finish.
If you guys want to see a couple of Coasters I have made previously using other mediums such as Clay and Resin be sure to check out my Bead Filled Resin Coaster, Confetti Resin Coaster, DIY Flower Coaster and lastly my Half Gold and Half Stenciled Cork Coasters.
Materials Needed for This Project
Thin Paintbrush
I ordered a pack of Wood Slices in the shape of circles off Amazon and this is how they looked.
I really wanted to use Wood Stains that I have had for a while and this was the perfect project to test it out on.
I chose three colors green, blue and orange.
Apply a layer of Color Stain on the Wood Coasters.
Let it sit for a few seconds and then wipe it off with a piece of cloth.
This should leave a slight stain on the Wood.
Do the same with the other colors.
If you want a deeper color, layer on another coat of the color stain and then wipe it off again.
Last step was to use Liquid Gold Leaf.
With a thin paintbrush go over the rings of the Wood.
I also painted the sides Gold as well.
Give it a full day to dry.
And there you have it.
All Done.
These were so simple to make but the Results are stunning.
