I’ve had this writing table for as long as I can remember. No one ever used it and it was mostly covered with a tablecloth.
It was just a really plain and simple looking writing table.
Here is how it looked Before.
Materials Needed for this Project
Scissors
I first gave it a light coat of Light Pink chalk paint.
I didn’t plan on fully covering it since I wanted to give a distressed look.
When the paint was dry it was time to create a diamond print using masking tape.
I taped away the entire pattern on the top, side and front drawers of the table.
I took the drawer handles out and spray painted the handle Gold as well.
When the table was all taped up, I then used gold paint and painted the entire table with it..
I could have used spray paint but since this room is in the basement the ventilation was not that great hence paint it was.
When the Gold paint is almost dry, you can go ahead and peel off the masking tape.
Seal it with a layer of Polycrylic Spray paint and this is how it looks now.
And as always if you guys liked this project be sure to Pin it for Later.

I’m dying to see that pink and gold desk when you’re done! The ORC does take a lot of time, but just think, even if you only halfway finish you’ll still be farther along then you were when you started! Keep it up!
