You Guys, this furniture makeover is totally out of my element. If you have been following me for a long time, you would know I am all about modern, geometric and colorful makeovers. But this time around I went with a color and even style, both of which are something I wouldn’t have done but I did it and let me tell ya I ABSOLUTELY love the results!!!
Let me show you guys the Before.
Okay so confession time this table has had quite the makeovers over the past year and you guys might even have seen it.First it got the DIY Flower Art treatment and then it got the Banana Leaf Makeover. Don’t get me wrong I loved both the makeovers but I just thought it lacked something and seemed flat.
Materials Needed for this Project
D Lawless Hardware Wood Appliques
D Lawless Hardware Drawer Pulls
DecoArt Metallic Pewter Craft Paint
I have used D Lawless Hardware products on my Southwestern Table which honestly you guys need to check out right now. They specialize in beautiful hardware, drawer pulls and even Wood Appliqués which I have used on this piece.
And now begins the quick little Table Transformation.
First things first the table needed a good coat of this gorgeous Paint color. It has a metallic Grey finish to it and I absolutely love how it looked.
Remove the existing drawer pulls and then get to painting. I gave it almost two coats and let it completely dry before moving on.
So I chose two different shapes for the Wood Appliqués. The corners ones would frame the front and the sides of the table and the longer ones would be placed on the legs of the table.
This is how they arrived, just look at that beautiful detailing.
I wanted all of the wood appliqué to be the same color so I went with a Bright Gold Metallic Paint and painted all of the pieces one by one.
Let them completely dry before you glue it onto the table.
So I particularly used Gorilla Wood Glue to place and glue down the pieces onto the table.
I really enjoyed this process because within minutes you could see how the wood appliqué was creating such a beautiful look.
Lastly attach the drawer pulls and this is the what I went with.
Give it a complete day to full dry out.
And there you have it.
I mean it looks Stunning!
It was so easy to create but the results look so expensive.
Adding the wood appliqué pieces on the side really made a difference.
And lets not forget the gorgeous drawer pulls.
All in all I think it turned out Amazing.
What do you guys think?
