Well technically it is a wood table but with a Wicker finish. It also has some leather area around the rim of the top part.
The table was really interesting hence I just had to buy it.
The minute I saw it I wanted it and I know I say that about every single piece but this one I really am in LOVE.
This is how it looked Before
It had some rough areas around the edges and the corner but nothing so serious that some DIY couldnt fix.
Materials Needed for this Project
Gold Metallic Paint
Paint Brush
So this fella got the Chalk Pain treatment and I used all paints from Annie Sloan.
I ordered the beautiful Napoleonic Blue , Abussion blue which is this beautiful turquoise teal color and Emile Chalk Paint.
Also to finish off the piece the wonderful White Wax by Annie Sloan.
To start off, the the base got two coats of the Napoleonic Blue.
The paint glided on oh so smoothly, I didn’t really want it to have a perfect paint coverage since I wanted to give off that “semi distressed” look.
The top part of the table where the straw feature was got some Aubusson Blue.
The color is the perfect Turquoise/ sea green color and the front got the Blue as the base.
This is how it looked after one coat of the paint.
I took off the handles off the drawer and gave it a coat of the beautiful Metallic Gold Cream from Country Chic Paints.
I also used it on this nightstand which you can see Here.
Seeing how beautiful the handles turned out and knowing how easily I fall for anything Gold I couldn’t resist and had to paint the front two drawers as well as the entire border of the top of the table with the cream.
The final step was to give it a coat of the wax.
And it was All Done.
The Gold made all the beautiful details just POP.
What do you guys think?
