So I had been wanting to paint an intricate Wall Art for a while now and this Wooden Frame was the perfect excuse to make one. I found this beautiful wooden frame for free and as usual whenever I find something I never think of why I would want this in my life but I just know I need to have it because somewhere in the future I would be glad that I kept it.
And Boy was I happy when this Canvas Art was completed seeing the end result with this beautiful wooden frame.
So here is the before shot of the Wooden Frame.
It was in a pretty good condition considering that it was literally thrown away by someone. It just had a little chip in one of the areas but other then that it was in a decent shape.
I hadn’t used my HomeRight sprayer ever to paint a canvas and this time around I thought why not! This was a pretty big canvas and I didn’t feel like painting it so why not just spray it. Right?
So I mixed two shades of blue and with my trusty ol Sprayer I sprayed two coats to cover the white of the canvas.
It took literally two minutes and my canvas was all set for me to start stenciling on top of it.
I know you guys must be wondering why am I using the same stencil again since I used it already on my Corner Table but that was a table and this was going to hang up on my wall plus the design is just way too good for it not to be used again. If I had the chance I would literally use this on everything 😉
Moving onto the stenciling process. The stencil I used is an Indian Inlay Stencil by Cutting Edge Stencils and it comes with an assortment of stencil brushes.
The colors I chose for this Canvas were really random I just went with what I thought would compliment each other. I used Mint Green, Coral, White, Light Purple and Turquoise.
The stenciling process is a lot of fun since in a stamping motion you paint over it and then end up with a beauty just like this Stencilled Canvas.
Lastly I spray painted the wooden frame with Gold spray paint and then attached it onto the canvas with Modge Podge.
I let it dry for a day before I hanged it up on my wall.
And there you have it!
What do you guys think ?
