So let’s jump right into the tutorial.
Materials Needed for Boho Chic DIY Ornaments Using Yarn
Tutorial for Boho Chic DIY Ornaments Using Yarn
Step 1
So I started off with using plain and simple Cork already cut in circles. I’ve used these in the past to make Textured Cork Coasters but today I decided I wanted to go a different route.
Simply cut the cork board circles in the center and you will be left with two equal parts semi-circles.
Step 2
The next step is to choose the Yarn color of your liking and your Christmas decor theme.
I went all out colorful of course. But you can make it as neutral or as loud as you would like just by switching up the colors.

This part really depends on you as to how long or short you would like your ornament to hang.
I normally cut the Yarn strands longer, to begin with as I always go in with scissors at the end to trim it down.
Step 3
The next step is super simple. Using a hot glue gun which is best for these projects as it dries quickly and keeps everything in place.
Apply glue to the cork semi-circle piece and then place your Yarn strings onto it.
This shouldn’t take to long if you already have the Yarn pre-cut, which makes it go by faster. While you are at it do attach a string in the shape of the letter “U” so you can hang the Ornament easily.
Step 4
As I mentioned earlier this really depends on how colorful or neutral you want your ornaments to turn out and I chose all bright colors for my project.
I went the floral route for my pattern.
This is kinda like my go-to design and I have also used it on my Lamp Makeover as well.
I played around with the flower and leaf shape placement.
Layering on colors in some areas as well as gluing on small pieces of Gold Leaf for some extra festive-ness.
Lastly, I decided to trim the Yarn straight across but you can always play around with shapes to make it even more interesting.
And there you have it.
All Done!
